Elderbank is the perfect place to holiday in Scotland, located in the stunning North West Scottish Highlands just off the North Coast 500 route. The detached cottage is nestled in its own woodland gardens with views towards a loch. The garden is a great place to explore with its willow tunnel and den and abundant birdlife. Beautiful beaches with turquoise sea and white sand are just a walk away while the fishing village of Lochinver is around 20 minutes by car.

The cottage offers comfort and style with attention to detail. A wood burning stove and large sofas in the lounge is the perfect place to take in the lovely views and watch the birds on the feeders. 3 good sized bedrooms and an additional family room that adjoins the ground floor bedroom gives a sense of spaciousness. Luxury cotton bedding and towels are provided, along with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen giving you everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Sleeps 6 plus 1 small dog on request.

Spending time in this part of the North West Highlands gives you space to breathe and reconnect with nature. It's a fantastic area for hillwalking and mountain climbing, enjoying one of the nearby pristine beaches and spotting some of the local wildlife in the surrounding area. The area is also of international geological significance and a UNESCO global Geopark. Being an area with the oldest rocks to be found anywhere in Europe a visit to the NWH Geopark in nearby Unapool is a must. There's so much to explore in this area making Elderbank the perfect place to enjoy your Highland adventure.

about us

Elderbank started life over 100 years ago as a tiny croft and has been sympathetically improved and extended over the years. At one time, access to the first floor was by a wooden ladder. The house is now fully-equipped, stylishly furnished and offers home from home comfort. Sleeping 6 in the three bedrooms; king-size sleigh bed to the ground floor and king-size and a twin room to the first floor.

You’ll find large sofas in the living room along with comfortable beds to ensure you have a restful holiday. Nestled in its own woodland gardens Elderbank Cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind or have adventures up in the hills or down by the beaches.

Gorgeous cottage and beautiful garden.
We could walk to Balchladich beach in 20 mins and drive to 4 other amazing beaches in 20 mins (and swam and kayaked at them all).
Very close to Stoer lighthouse and other fantastic walks.
Can't recommend it enough.

Magical holiday staying in a gorgeous bright, comfortable and cosy home. The garden is a source of delight in itself and watching the birds at the feeder in the evening was a lovely way to end the day after exploring the beaches and walks nearby...
